Legal Notices

1. Operator, publishers, and scope

StoryBee Inc. operates StoryBee.ca and StoryBee.Space and is the contracting service provider for the websites, their features, and the content made available through them (together, the “Services”). StoryBee Inc. also publishes and provides some books and other content.

StoryBee Inc., West Solution Consulting Corp., and The National Research Institute for Democratized Learning each publish or provide certain books or other content available through the Services (together, the “StoryBee Publishers”). The publisher and applicable rights information for a particular book may be identified in that book, its credits, or its accompanying information.

2. Copyright and content ownership

The Services, books, illustrations, editorial material, website design, software, and other original content may be protected by copyright and other applicable laws. Copyright in original material remains with the applicable StoryBee Publisher, creator, or other identified rights holder.

Some books or editions may incorporate material used under a licence, with permission, or from the public domain. Public-domain material is not claimed as exclusively owned merely because it appears in a StoryBee publication. Copyright may nevertheless exist in original illustrations, translations, adaptations, selection, arrangement, annotations, design, or other new contributions made by a StoryBee Publisher.

Credits and copyright information included in a book form part of the ownership information for that book. Nothing on the Services transfers ownership or grants a licence except as expressly stated in the Terms of Use or in a written permission from the applicable rights holder.

3. StoryBee name and logo

StoryBee Inc. owns the StoryBee name, logo, and original brand artwork used for the Services, subject to applicable law. Some names or brand identifiers may not be registered trademarks. The absence of a trademark registration does not grant permission to copy protected artwork, impersonate StoryBee, or falsely suggest ownership, sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement.

You may truthfully refer to StoryBee for commentary, criticism, news reporting, identification, comparison, or another use permitted by applicable law, provided that you do not create a false impression of sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement.

4. Reporting a rights concern

If you believe that material available through the Services infringes a copyright or another right belonging to you or someone you are authorized to represent, follow the reporting process in our Fair Use Notice or contact [email protected].

5. Contact
